Calculate Your LDL Cholesterol Goal Level
This risk assessment tool uses data from the Framingham Heart Study to estimate
the 10-year risk of having a heart attack (myocardial infarction) or death
resulting from coronary heart disease (CHD) in adults age 20 or older who do not already have heart disease or diabetes.
This calculation is recommended by the National Cholesterol Education Program
Adult Treatment Panel III to help determine your goal LDL cholesterol level.
Your LDL cholesterol goal is < 100 if you have established coronary heart
disease, peripheral arterial disease, diabetes, or a calculated 10-year risk for CHD of > 20%.
